Highly rated Belgian cyclocross prospect Giel Lejeune will join Alpecin-Premier Tech ahead of the 2026-27 cyclocross season, with the 18-year-old signing a three-year deal with the Roodhooft brothers’ team.
Lejeune had previously been expected to continue with Charles Liégeois-Deschacht, but an approach from Alpecin-Premier Tech led to a change of plans. He will now step up into the Under-23 ranks with one of the strongest development set-ups in the sport.
The young Belgian arrives with an impressive junior record. During the 2025-26 winter he claimed bronze at both the European Championships in Middelkerke and the World Championships in Hulst, confirming his status as one of Belgium’s leading young cyclocross prospects.
His first appearance in Alpecin-Premier Tech colours is expected to come at the Kleebergcross on 27 September, giving Lejeune an early opportunity to begin his first Under-23 campaign with his new team.
