Guus van den Eijnden has secured his path to the WorldTour after signing a new long-term deal with Alpecin-Premier Tech – and cyclocross remains firmly in his plans.
The 20-year-old Dutchman will continue with the Alpecin-Premier Tech Development Team in 2027 before stepping up to the WorldTour squad for the 2028 and 2029 seasons.
Crucially for cross fans, Van den Eijnden will continue racing cyclocross during the winter with Seven Racing. The youngster highlighted the freedom to combine road and cyclocross as an important part of extending his stay with the Alpecin structure.
It means another of cyclocross’s emerging talents can pursue a WorldTour road career without leaving the mud behind.
